challenge YOURself scrapbooking

HI again, I know, I know it has been awhile....all good excuses but just the same, I have missed blogging a bit. to today's post.
I learned about a new challenge blog via the Canadian Scrapbooker blog, and now I cannot find that post, about including yourself in your scrapbook pages. This blog challenges you with a sketch and some colour choices for you to include yourself in your pages, you have a full month to do this. This month's challenge can be found here .... challengeYOURself blog, we are to use this sketch and these colours to do our creation.

This is what I created:

Now you have to remember I am camping at the moment, and do so for a good chunk of the summer, so I have limited supplies and tools with me. It is a good challenge to YOURself to limit your supplies sometimes. I had grabbed the supplies before I left or when I go home once a week to do the laundry and cut the lawn. The local No Frills store where I camp has a special every summer of ten cents per photo for printing, so the first week or so here I organize my photos to see what to print. After reading the blog and thinking on it, I made sure to choose a few pics of myself to get printed. I also grabbed some of the special paper kits we at Close to my Heart have had over the last few years, that I have not used up. This one uses Dreampop with the background being from the current seasonal inspiration idea book Blossom. Stamp set used is D1647 Documenting moments from the seasonal expressions 2 idea book, a fun stamp set with lots of uses and; stamped in slate ink our journaling pen for the journaling. If you are interested in purchasing any of these supplies you can always go to my webpage and get some new items for yourself. Happy scrapping.

Atlantic hearts sketch 116

Hi again, I know two posts in one day, but that is what happens when you do not have internet connections at your disposal.
Over at Atlantic hearts challenge, you are inspired each week with a new sketch to use for inspiration.

I loved the sketch this week, such a sweet simple design. This is what I created....

Again, limited supplies, but I did snag my glitter tape as I was leaving the house for another card challenge for instagram, so thought I could use it here too, then hand doodled the scallops with our bronze ShinHan marker, to match the bronze shimmer trim. The stamp set used is D1539 "The Happy couple", love the Happy Anniversary sentiment as we have way more anniversaries than weddings to attend at this stage in our life. Again, if you wish to purchase any of the supplies used please check out the shopping cart on the top right of this page.

Happy play time.
