H2H Polka dots and strips challenge

Another great challenge from H2H polka-dots-and-stripes-challenge, what a great way to use the exclusive paper pack that is available for National Scrapbooking month 'Dotty for you'.  A very fun bright paperpack that I am enjoying playing with.

This card could be used as a encouragement card or any other way you may decide.  I used the CTMH Perfect Day stamp set in Grey wool ink and Lagoon ink.  The edges are sponged in either lagoon or grey wool, the center image is popped up with pop dots and the upper image is wrapped with the grey and white bakers twine.
Thank you for looking.

H2H distressing challenge

Hi all, I am back with another challenge card, I finished a number of challenge cards this weekend and plan to have more posts this week.  Today's card is for the distressing challenge at H2H last week.  H2H stands for Heart 2 Heart a challenge posted on Mondays each week to make something using Close to My Heart products.  Here is the link to this challenge where you can check out many others creative ideas, distressing-challenge.

This is one of the cards that we made at my 'Cards for the men in our lives' workshop that I held this past weekend.  We used only cardstock, no patterned paper for this card, but we did make our own patterned paper with stamps and ink!  Using my favourite background stamp the splatters from the Diverse backgrounds D1508 stamp set and Chocolate and Desert Sand inks to make the background.  We stamped the boots from the A Journey A1127 stamp set in chocolate ink and then clear heat embossed the prints, stamping a splatter in Desert Sand.  The background chocolate card stock was embossed and then sanded in the Traffic Jam Cuttlebug folder, Life is a Journey using the 'A Journey stamps set in chocolate.  All edges of paper were distressed with our edge distresser.  The background cardstock behind the boot prints is desert sand.  Thank you for stopping by and having a look, I do value your comments.  Thanks again.

Mothers day card challenge at H1H

Hi all, another challenge to share, Heart 2 heart mothers day card.

This is a interlocking card that I spotted on a blog a long time ago and wanted to try to make.   First I had to get the circle spellbinders to cut the plain circles, I had the scalloped circle set already.    I made a paper flower for the center by cutting with the spellbinders a number of layers of a few sizes of scalloped circles.  Wet the circles, crumple them up into little balls and carefully open again.  Stack and pierce a hole in the center then layer together with a brad.  You can shape the different layers to get the effect you would like, then let dry.  It dries to a solid flower.
Here you can see the interlock.
And this is what I put in the center.  As you can tell I need to give my card yet, but thought I would share it here.

April showers bring May flowers

This weeks challenge on the heart2heart challenges we have to make something with flowers.

I used all Close to my Heart products featuring the Stella paper pack and the A Blossom (A1121) stamp set.

H2H photo inspiration challenge

A few weeks back the heart2heart blog held a photo inspiration challenge with this photo:

After looking at a lot of the other inspiration that came from this photo,  this is what I came up with:
I had to really resist using the beautiful flowers in the shower curtain, since that seemed to be what most were using as the inspiration and thought I would use the flowers on the wall instead.
All items used to create this card are Close  to my Heart:
Stamp sets used:
Love Life D1482
Pemberly WOTG
A Garden A1119
A little thanks D1444
