April Cross Canada CTMH Home Decor Blog Hop

Welcome to our April Blog Hop featuring a Home Decor project of our choosing.

I will quite often frame one of my scrapbook pages to display out of the album for more to enjoy it. However this time for a home decor item and am featuring a item that uses one or our Cricut cartridges, twine and embossing powder. Hmm what did I make....

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Michelle Stewart at mycreationswithmichelle.blogspot.ca If you came from Nicola of timelesscottagenb then you are in the right place!

I created a reversible birthday banner! We have five grandchildren with birthdays in a six week stretch, so lots of birthday parties. The first one was hosted at our home for grand daughter #2 that also included a personalized banner with her name that she took home for her bedroom. I used gypsy and cotton candy cardstock for the first banner. The second photo is for the combined birthday party for grand daughters #1 & 3 and grandson #2, so we flipped it to the lagoon and pear side with the silver embossing. I cut all the scalloped banner flags with the Art Philosophy cartridge (Z1686 on page 15 of the idea book); on page 59 in the guide booklet, then I also used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the letters. I then used versamark ink on the letters and embossed them with the silver embossing powder Z669 on page 131 in the idea book. Tied them all together with the grey bakers twine from the neutral assortment (Z1701) on page 121. Now I have a reusable birthday banner for future birthday parties. :)
