January 2013 blog hop - consultants choice

Welcome to the first Blog Hop of 2013. Our January Hop is featuring a “Consultants Choice”, so each consultant has a unique project to share with you. I hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Michelle S. at mycreationswithMichelle.blogspot.ca. If you came from Suzzette of croppaperscissors-sue. you are at the right spot

For my choice I am choosing to feature our background, monogram and perfect fit stamp sets.  I have a good friend that has a birthday just before Christmas so I thought I would make her a set of monogrammed note cards, with matching envelopes.  I made four different designs and two of each design in two different ink colours, black & ruby.  It was fun playing with the different frames and backgrounds to co-ordinate them.  The frames are all cut with our Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, so easy to cut to size and then stamp and pop up on a card.

This is a black one with the script background stamp and one of the perfect fit frames and the monogram.  I used a piece of black card stock to finish off the background stamp and popped up the frame with the monogram with foam tape.  Here you can see it in both the black and ruby versions.

Next is the woodgrain matched with the striped frame:

The polka dot is the next one, I really like this frame:

This floral frame and background is one of my favourites, very rich looking:

To finish off the set I stamped the monogram on the back of the envelope:

To wrap it all up I made a holder to hold them all together and tied shut with bakers twine.

If you are interested in making this gift/project yourself please go to my web site to order your supplies or let me know and I can add them to my next order to save you on some shipping.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Joanne of jagsscrapincorner .
If you get lost along the way, you can head to Michelle S Blog, mycreationswithmichelle, as she has the complete blog list.

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects using some of the designs and paper seen along the way. Join us again in February when we will be featuring a 2 page layout.
