The product that is retiring, what a hard choice, so many favourites leaving, but many new favourites coming ;)
I decided to work with the remainders of my Workshops on the Go Frosted Cardmaking kit, I just love this very versatile stamp set that comes with the kit. I had made all the cards in the kit and had left over B&T duos paper, on Pinterest I pinned these fabulous layouts from Karen vanDalen in The Netherlands and decided to try it for myself with the beautiful photos that I had taken from this past years ice storm.

The above two are my inspiration, this brought back memories of my quilt making days.....
I practiced cuts to get the sizing with scrap paper, then started the cutting, embossing, inking and laying out of my pieces. I had purchased a 1/4" quilters 6" ruler a little bit ago and it was sitting on my crafting desk, the perfect tool to help with this layout. I decided to go with the more muted colours for paper so that the photos would shine. I added some of the leftover silver glitter gems to give a bit of sparkle to the layouts as well.
