Canadian Christmas card hop

Welcome to our first of 2 Blog Hops happening this month. In this Hop you will find that each consultant has created 3 Christmas Cards using non-Christmas paper! They were given the challenge to create these 3 cards using either card stock or another paper packet of their choice.

I used the Clementine paper pack
If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Deanne in NewFoundland. If you came from Suzette of croppaperscissors-sue.blogspot.ca then you are in the right place!
I choose to use the Clementine paper pack to make my three happy snowmen Christmas cards, the above shot is of the three together.

This first card was inspired by a card in the latest "PaperCraft" magazine. I used the Clementine paper pack, The Perfect fit Holidays stamp set B1412 and the Flakey Friends stamp set C1506. The Twilight ink seems to give a nice match and softness to the card, I used our retired markers in Sorbet and Autumn terracotta and Cocoa to give him some life and colour. A bit of bling in the blue/green sparkles and he is finished.
This second card used different paper from the same paper pack. I used our new cricut cartridge Artiste to cut out the shape for the snowman and the doily in the back. I sponged ink on the doily in champagne and cashmere to give it some colour. The snowman is stamped in sorbet, which I popped up to give the card some dimension, wrapped it in Autumn terracotta bakers twine and three crystals for his buttons.
This last card, I made the base out of our kraft paper to give it a different look and used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch to cut the corners. I covered 2/3 of the base with the patterned paper and popped up the snowmen for some dimension. The snowmen are stamped in Champagne ink and coloured in Indian Corn blue and Autumn Terracotta, some bling for the buttons and card is finished.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is  Joanne of jagsscrapincorner.
