Play time

This past Saturday afternoon I hosted a card making class, I thought I would share a few of the variations.  Sometimes all you need to do is change the sentiment and you have a totally different card.  One of my guests stamped two different sentiments one on each side of the sentiment piece of paper so she is ready when she decides what she wants to use the card for.

The bottom sample is the one I created with the rolled flower and the upper one is one from a friend who used a flat flower to be able to mail it easier. Same card, different look, it all depends on your paper placement under the overlay.  The overlay was cut at 4 1/2 inches from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge, such a fun card.  We used one of our paper packs Lollydoodle with three different sheets of paper, since all our paper is double sided you get six different options.  Each paper pack also comes with coordinating cardstock so you can not go wrong in your colour choices when you use one of our packs.

Just a change of sentiment here, we used the "Free to be Me" paper pack that is only available for the month of May for national Papercrafting month.  You must purchase $50 of product and then you can purchase this paper pack for only $5.  It is a great buy, you get six different designs of patterned paper on three sheets, two of each along with matching cardstock that has one side embossed, and two sheets of embossed vellum.  A great buy!

The same paper pack as before, just a different sentiment.  You can see the gold dot vellum in this card.
And for Father's Day we created this card, using a overlay cut with the Artbooking cricut cartridge and the Perfect Fit- Dad (C1542) stamp set.  Another great set with many different options....Dad, Grampa, Golfer and Griller, including a mustache as well as the plaid tie image!
We enjoyed our time playing with paper, ink and stamps and went home with more stamps to add to our supply.  Watch for future card workshops later in the summer.
