Heart 2 Heart - water - Color my heart - twilight, ruby & olive

Hi all again, time for a few more challenges, I love doing these, they spark my creativity and challenge my thinking.  This week on Heart 2 Heart we are challenged to use water and on the Colormyheart challenge we are asked to use Twilight, Ruby and Olive.  Now when I pulled these three colours out and looked at them I was stumped, not my usual go to colours.   Thankfully I am working and way behind on project life Close to my Heart style this year with a Facebook group, so I needed to do week 16 next.  (For those of you that don't do project life week by week that is mid April, told you I was behind)  This was a week of vacation for us in Collingwood as a gift, part of that week we explored the waterfalls of the area, so the water part is covered, just had to scrap them.  This is what I ended up creating for the water challenge also using the colours from the colour challenge:

I used Twilight cardstock for my background and distressed it by misting it with our misting pen, then crinkling it up vertically, flattening and sanding to show the white core and made it look like falling water.  then stamped my title using the Keepsake alphabet and also the Trinity for the water fall titles.  Matted the two photos on Olive cardstock and finished for this part, it is a 8 X 12 layout that I will be adding to the photo pocket pages that we are using.  I also finished most of the rest of the week using the same colour scheme and am very pleased with the results, the colours look like the waterfalls in the spring running fast and full.

Here is another page using the same colour scheme that is the reverse of the waterfall tour page, both in a 8 x 12 flip flap for my project life album.

The journalling will be added to another flip flap once I can get it printed, this is the largest spread I have done so far for project life.  Really excited to be working on this and catching up somewhat.

All supplies used are Close to my Heart, if you are interested in obtaining any for yourself please see the shop with me on the right and check us out.  The new fall/winter idea book goes live on August 1 next week, so this is your last chance to get some of the items from this current idea book.
