Hi all the H2H challenge this week was to make a sympathy card. I have made two, the same, using the two different inks, pigment and water-based dye ink. I wanted to see if the image would look different with the different inks.
Trying to remember which is which, I think the one on the left is the new pigment ink in Ruby and the right is the water-based ink also in Ruby. I used the new 'To you and yours' and 'Words of comfort' stamp sets. Cardinals have a very special and personal meaning for me, five years ago one of our grand-daughters died from SIDS, we had not had cardinals near our property ever. A month or so after this tragedy we had a pair of cardinals come to our feeders and stay in our neighbourhood, it was to me a messaged from God that it would be all right and He was still there.
I used the above mentioned stamp sets and cardstock in the following colours: ruby, whisper and slate, the wording ink is in slate.

That cardinal stamp is lovely, and I liked your experimentation with the different ink types. Thanks for sharing your cardinal story with H2H challenges this week. It is indeed very special; we often are given "signs" and don't recognize them for what they are...
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card...well done! Thanks for participating with us this week at H2H :0)
