Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge & New colour my heart dare....

Hi again, I finished my card during my card workshop on Friday night and challenged my friends to use it too. Fun seeing the different designs and ideas.
The sketch on the Atlantic hearts challenge sketch-151 is to use this sketch  A new sketch is provided each Monday and we are challenged to create something with it and share.
On the Color my heart color dare #185 it is posted each Friday so I like to combine the two and create. These are the colours we are challenged to use this week:  There is still time to play with the color until Thursday night.
This is what I created:
I saw this sketch and immediately thought a Cricut cut, so I created on in my Cricut craftroom and saved it. Took bits of the different card stocks and ran them through my Cuttlebug with the different folders then placed them behind my cut outs. Lots of fun creating this and look forward to sharing it with someone for their birthday.

March Break playtime :)

Hi again, since I am blessed to work part time in a school I have March Break off! YEAH!! So nice to plan my own days (sort of) and be able to catch up on some knitting and card making and maybe even some scrapbooking. I started the week off well with some scrapbooking with the most recent photos that I had on hand and pocket scrapped them. Then looked through my albums and realized that I am way behind on 2014 and 2015; nevermind this year and am playing with Studio J while it is still available and finishing up those years with digital scrapbooking. I love the quality of the printed scrapbook pages that I get from Studio J, sad that it will no longer be available after April 30.
Any way on to this week....I am taking the color my heart color dare #184 where you/we are challenged to use:
I have skipped the Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge until Saturday but am using the heart 2 heart challenges to use retired items from Close to my Heart. Now I have lots of that. So with the combination this is what I came up with....

My twin grandchildren turned 11 this week, so eleven balloons tied to a cupcake. I used the colours from the colour my heart dare and the retired stamp set B1377 Fanfare for the balloons and cupcake. I had fun creating this. There is still time for you to play along in either challenge just follow the links for details.

I have a Teenaged Granddaughter!!!

HI again, another birthday, another card; it seems that February and March are busy months for us for birthday. It helps that five of the seven grandkids all have their birthdays these two months. Today granddaughter number one is THIRTEEN!!! How did that happen? Where has the time gone? and to top it off she is taller than me!!! She is a beautiful young lady who loves horseback riding and my keyboard piano. Anyway on to her birthday card...nothing too fancy but I did use the sketch from Atlantic hearts challenge which is this sketch:
And of course I choose to use the colours from the Color my heart color dare using these colours:
And this is what I came up with.....

I used out new for a short time Penelope paper pack, so pretty and fun, love the colours, which are also the colours for this weeks Color my heart dare. I sponged a lot of the edges for the front of the card using the various colours in the challenge, so fun.
If you are interested in getting your own pack of Penelope paper to play with check out my shopping cart on the right hand side. Thanks.
There is still time for you to play along with the color challenge, but the Atlantic hearts sketch is only good until tonight, tomorrow is a new sketch.
