I used my Cricut and the cricut craftroom to cut out the romper and the eyelet strips as well as the scalloped circle. I sliced the romper down to be just the bottoms, misted the eyelet to make it pliable and gather then glued them down. The 'precious' embossed in the strip is from a provocraft Cuttlebug embossing folder called 'you'. The welcome little one is from a stamp of the month that I masked to make it fit the circle also from another stamp set of frames.
Took a bit more play time today... needed to create a trio of baby cards for my knit nite group, three babies born in the last 2 months or so, two boys and one ruffle bum. For this card I used the sketch from Deconstruction Jen sketch-156
And this is what I created....
I used the Close to my Heart paper pack Later Sk8ter (retired) as well as the monogram "L" stamp and the star stamp was the "Stars shine bright" convention stamp set from Dallas.
HI again, I know it has been a bit since my last post...but I am here tonight :) This week on the color my heart color dare we are challenged to use these colors - creme brulee, blush, cotton candy, pear and sweet leaf. My first thoughts were hmmm interesting combination the creme brulee threw me off, but I think it worked out rather well....This is what I created:
I found this card on pinterest and used it as my inspiration, of course I changed the products used to Close to my Heart.
Stamps sets used a mix of retired and new, it helps that I checked my catalogue of stamps on Evernote and found a few missing that I had to add to the list....
D1361 - Thank you
D1477 - Universal backgrounds
D1555 - All the details
C1511 - Love blooms
I stamped the woodgrain background in creme brulee on creme brulee card stock to get the wood grain effect, then the flowers are stamped in cotton candy and blush with the leaves in pear and sweet leaf. The little butterflies are rock'n'rolled in blush and sweet leaf. Enjoy.
Strange ;) all the blog challenges I try to do have the word heart in them, wonder if it is because I love Close to my HEART products!
This week on the Atlantic Hearts sketch # 58 challenge we are challenged to use this sketch:
I thought about this sketch for a bit and came up with it making great anniversary cards, so I used a few other challenges to make variations:
For the Color my Heart dare # 97 we are challenged to use these colours: New England Ivy, Honey, Olive and Outdoor Denim.
Don't those colours look great together. On the Heart2Heart we are challenged to make something blue, so I made a blue version :)
One last photo of all the cards, can you tell we have a lot of anniversaries coming up.
