Heart to heart blog challenges

Today was an extra day off from work, so I got to play in my creative space.
First card is the first challenge this year - the colour challenge from Let's get this party started, they asked us to use sky, pear and colonial white or something close.  So my version uses colonial white paper, sweet leaf ink and crystal blue ink and the Find your style stamp set as well as a few blue & green sparkles :)  I did not have papers in the correct colours so... I stamped the background.

My second card today is for this weeks challenge : Time to get wild
I used the Find your style stamp set with blush and petal inks, using the same technique as the previous card for the background.  This is a fun set to play with..

Thanks for looking.

One layer Wednesday - Sentiments OLW 37

Here is my card for the OLW 37, this was kinda fun to look up and find how many different versions of this sentiment I have, and I didn't even use them all, I found more later. ;)

my creative space

Hi all, thought I would enter another blog challenge and share my scrap/creative space.
I have most of my stamps stored in the rolling cart under the table.  One of my storage/organization ideas is a small binder that I attempt to keep up to date with a image of each of the stamps that I own.  It is a 4 1/2 X 7 " binder that has a page for each stamp set and where it is stored and from on it, helps to keep track.  Another idea is to store my cuttlebug embosing folders in a basked alphabetically, makes them easier to find.  Enjoy.

a quick and easy scarf...

Hi all, I stopped at my local yarn store, Soper Creek Yarn and spotted this new ball of yarn, with the sample.  So I purchased the yarn.....

And after three hours of quick and simple knitting this is what I had a wonderful, lacey, long scarf....

Scrap club pages finished....

A few more double page spreads finished.  These layouts were created at Scrapclub from Close to my Heart and I just had to provide my own finishing touches, pictures, journalling.  Great way to get at least one double page spread done each month.

Finished Project 12! :)

Well after a push to get my photos developed and a breakdown with the equipment at the store, I was able to finish my last two months of Project 12.  I even figured out my title/intro page.  So without further ado here is June 2010 we went camping and visiting another park.....

Finished December 2010 ....
and the title page is a compliation of a number of my favourite photos from the year...

That's it for now for last years project 12, feels good to have it finished.  Now to get it all in a album.
My appolgies for the quality of the photos, just trying to get them all posted.  I need to figure out how to get better pics of my pages.

One layer Wednesday card

Found a new challenge in my surfing, One layer Wednesday card, so here is my interpretation.
This weeks challenge was to use one stamp and two inks.  My stamp is from Close to my Heart Treasure life set and the sentiment is from the Something splendid set.  The inks used also close to my heart are Pansy purple and petal.  I did emboss the one stamped image with purple embossing powder as well as the sentiment.  Not sure if that was part of the rules or not, but it did say that it allowed embossing :)

A Blog???!!!

Why, would I decide to have a blog?  I am not really sure, just that I do enjoy a number of hobbies and would like a place to share them easily with others.  Tomorrow our family will have our Christmas celebrations, a number of my creations will be shared, it has been a busy month of crafting.  I hope to use this space to post photos of my scrap pages, cards made, photos taken, knitting and sewing and possibly other ventures.  Perhaps it will be just a space to have it all together.... until later...
